This film examines the process of holography, types of holograms, and the uses of the hologram for artistic and scientific purposes, as demonstrated by Tung H. Jeong, PhD, Lake Forest College. About the film, director Tom Smith writes: "Nobel Prize winner Dennis Gabor, holography’s inventor, saw the film after it was made and said it was the best film on the subject that he had seen. It is such a visual subject it made for a good film. I knew the 3-D quality could only be appreciated if...

Mrs. Post in her garden in Edgartown, Mass. in floral dress, pearls, white gloves and funny hat. "Most people are at ease in their own homes, but often are confused at a dinner party." Emily Post says "Manners at the most formal dinner party are exactly the same as they are at home." Rather formal directions in how to eat soup; how to serve meat in a house without a maid; which implements to use in cutting salad and eating fruit; proper use of a finger bowl; the difficulties...

The follow video shows some exce;;ent video of eagles feeding while at the same time drawing a coalition between the eagles and humans. This was is a total rework of my earlier post Table Manners after kicking my ass in gear to do it more justice. Let me know if you like it better.

The rude, clumsy puppet Mr. Bungle shows kids how to behave in the school cafeteria - the assumption being that kids actually want to behave during lunch. This film has a cult following since it appeared on a Pee Wee Herman HBO special. To license this film and get a higher quality version for broadcast/film purposes, contact A/V Geeks LLC .

In hopes of keeping kids' attention, social engineering films would often use supernatural elements to make their points. In this film, we see a magic talking mirror that reflects bratty kids as clowns. Most of the misbehaving kids understand how their behavior is disruptive and make amends. Surprisingly, one kid doesnt care if he is a "clown" and continues being a jerk probably for the rest of his life. To license this film and get a higher quality version for broadcast/film...

Mismatched travellers are stranded overnight at a lonely rural railway station. They soon learn of local superstition about a phantom train which is said to travel these parts at dead of night, carrying ghosts from a long-ago train wreck in the area. The travelers eventually get to the bottom of the things that go bump in the night. In between the scary bits, comedian Arthur Askey plays the gags with his Vaudeville style humor.

Ocean Sound Nature Sounds Call of the Ocean Immerse your senses in a walk along a wild ocean beach. Surf sends waves hissing up the sandy beach, splashing against rocks and lapping playfully in tidal rockpools. Behind the beach, birds sing among the coastal bush and banksia heaths, and at sunset, the soft calls of Fairy Penguins carry over the dunes. Hear the full ocean sound album here.

This is a typical sex exploitation film from the early 1930s - complete with wild parties, sex out of wedlock, lesbianism, etc. A chorus girl's exposure to the "casting couch" also exposes her to syphilis. Exploitation filmmakers hoped to capitalize on the taboo subjects of venereal disease, sex before marriage, lesbianism, etc. while skirting the Motion Picture Production Code of 1930 which forbade a film from containing such content. Films like this would tour the United States for...
